From village dairy to international food company

In 1971, Theo Müller took over from his father the dairy founded by his grandfather in Aretsried, Bavaria in 1896 – it only had four employees back then. Today, Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller controls the dairy segment business of subsidiaries with stand-alone brands: MüllerMüller Milk & Inrgedients, Weihenstephan, Sachsenmilch and Käserei Loose. Private labels and commodities such as butter, UHT milk, lactose powder and milk protein complete the portfolio. In addition to the milk processing subsidiaries, the packaging company Optipack, the Company's own logistics company Culina, Fahrzeugtechnik Aretsried and Müller Naturfarm, one of the biggest fruit processing companies in Germany, also belong to the Group.

Activities in the field of convenience food also come under the umbrella of the Group. The product range includes leading brands in the chilled gourmet salad segment, sauces and fish specialties, such as Homann, Nadler, Lisner, Hamker, Pfennigs and Hopf, plus a number of different private label products. more...

Under the leadership of NORDSEE, the Group is bundling modern food concepts, serving a range of consumer groups with a variety of offerings. NORDSEE’s success is based on three sales channels: retail, restaurant and take-away snacks.
