Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller is a family-owned company operating internationally in the food sector with over 27,500 employees and annual sales of around 6 billion euros. The company comprises activities and numerous strong brands in the dairy, deli and services business areas as well as in the branch business.
In 1971, Theo Müller took over the dairy in Aretsried, Bavaria, founded by his grandfather in 1896, from his father - at that time with only four employees. Today, in the dairy segment, the holding company is managing the business of subsidiaries and their own strong brands: Müller, Müller Milk & Ingredients, Müller Yogurt & Desserts, Weihenstephan, Sachsenmilch and Käserei Loose. Private label brands and commodities, such as butter, UHT milk, lactose powder and whey protein, complete the portfolio. In addition to the milk-processing subsidiaries, the packaging company Optipack, the company’s own logistics firm Culina and Müller Naturfarm, one of the largest fruit-processing companies in Europe, are also part of the Group.
Activities in the field of convenience food also come under the umbrella of the Group. The product range includes leading brands in the chilled gourmet salad segment, sauces and fish specialties, such as HOMANN, Nadler and other brands of the HOMANN Group. The NORDSEE business represents the food retail segment of the Group.
Under the management of Werner Stegmüller, Dirk Barnard and Frank Richter the companies generate annual revenues of around €6 billion and employ 27,500 people.
