Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller is a family-owned company operating internationally in the food sector with around 26,600 employees and annual sales of 5.9 billion euros. The company comprises activities and numerous strong brands in the dairy, deli and services business.


In 1971, Theo Müller took over the dairy in Aretsried, Bavaria, founded by his grandfather in 1896, from his father - at that time with only four employees. Today, in the dairy segment, the holding company is managing the business of subsidiaries in Continental Europe and Great Britain with their own strong brands: Müller, Weihenstephan, Sachsenmilch and Käserei Loose. Private label brands and commodities, such as butter, UHT milk, lactose powder and whey protein, complete the portfolio. In addition to the milk-processing subsidiaries, the packaging company Optipack, the company’s own logistics firm Culina and Müller Naturfarm, one of the largest fruit-processing companies in Europe, are also part of the Group.


Activities in the field of convenience food also come under the umbrella of the Group. The product range includes leading brands in the chilled gourmet salad segment, sauces and fish specialties, such as HOMANN, Nadler and other brands of the HOMANN Group. 

Under the management of John Broekmans, Michael Singer, Marcus Almeling and Silvia Buchinger the companies generate annual revenues of around €5.9 billion and employ around 26,600 people.
