Acid curd cheese is one of the oldest cheese varieties. The Loose cheese dairy specialises in the production of this characteristic product.

Leppersdorf

Founded in 1921, Käserei Loose GmbH & Co. KG was integrated into Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller. With the takeovers of the Rehkopf cheese dairy (2002), the Esko cheese factory (2002) and the Rusack cheese dairy (2003), the Loose cheese dairy expanded its product portfolio and integrated the brands Harzbube, Bönsel and Esko cooked cheese brands.

In January 2005, the production of the traditional cheese specialities was completely relocated to the Leppersdorf site. This enabled the experienced master cheesemakers to produce around 23,000 tonnes of cheese annually.

With competence, innovative ideas and highest quality, the cheese dairy Loose with its brands asserts itself as market leader in the sour milk cheese segment and belongs to the TOP 10 cheese producers in Germany.
