Our products must not only have a very good quality and taste, they must also be safe. An important component is the topic of hygiene in the company. In our plants there are different hygiene levels, depending on the product produced. If the raw material to be processed is consistently within a closed system, such as UHT milk, other measures are required than in the production area of infant formula ingredients such as Infant Lactose, which is divided into several zones. Only a handful of specially trained specialists have access to the "red zone", the most sensitive area.
However, the general hygiene level is consistently very high: All employees, including those in the administration, who have to access the production area, are regularly sensitized to the topic of hygiene in training courses. In addition to a safety briefing, visitors to the production facility receive hygiene instructions and appropriate clothing in advance. There is no access without hair and, if necessary, beard net, an overcoat and overshoes. Rings, piercings and watches are taboo. The production area is accessed through a so-called hygiene lock. One after the other, the hands are automatically washed and then disinfected. Meanwhile, a brush cleans the shoes from below.
